A piece inspired by the book "Out of the silent planet" by C.S. Lewis. Not totally happy with the Hross character, yes he's supposed to look like a big otter but wanted to make him somehow more alien. Anyway, might try a few more of these in the future, see what i can come up with, there's deffinatly not enough fan art for this great book series. Enjoy :D

Great sense of movement. And I really like your characters, especially the guy in the boat.

Fantastic piece, in both senses.

He's thinking, "What the heck am I doing on this freaky planet and where's my nemisis?!!"

HA! Great piece, as always. I've read the series but because of the time in which it was written it was VERY dry and boring in places and had me yawning my way through a lot of it. I liked it though since it was so different. I like the fact that science fiction was just getting started so a lot of things didn't have to make any sense, like totally odd things like spongy pink land masses for no good reason other than they were just there. You tend to read it for a while and just go along with any old detail C.S Lewis threw in. Big talking otters? Why not?!
Sweetness! I love how stylized this is. The water is great as well as them trees. I think the otter fella is pretty spiffy. Great color choice too.
SOO GOOD!.. such rich colors... UGH!

looove the colors you used here. I love the way you did the background parts, particularly the cliffs.
this style reminds of samurai jack. With its simplistic design and line-less outlines, its a neat look for this piece.
